Once Upon a Time…

Nah, just kidding. About us. That’s a tough one for a lot of people to grasp. I personally find it rather easy but I live it. We are a large group of people living inside of one body. That is the simplest way to describe it. At the moment the current count is somewhere in the 60s. We live with our caregivers (we call them Mama/Mom and Daddy/Dad) and the 4 children this body has birthed. The kids are amazing. They are stunning in every way, some good and some uh-oh ways, but every way. They call us their tribe of sisters and they call our caregivers their parents. This works for our family. These are important things to know if you’re going to understand what’s happening here.

Our growth game is strong. We are more than just a fascinating DID system. We love scrapbooking, cardmaking, and crocheting. A few of us love cross-stitching. We go to Zumba classes and are working on fitness. We love our dog more than we love each other most days. We are growing our relationship with Jesus and we are finding God in our daily life. We’re learning about balance and working through this all-or-nothing pain in the ass mindset we get stuck on. We’re mending a relationship with our bio-mom.

Our language sucks sometimes. Some things written here will be graphic and possibly inappropriate. The whole damn blog could be triggering. Some posts deal with hard issues. Others deal with how to make stress balls. We’re flighty and all over the place. We’re raw, we’re real, and we’re human.  (Yes, this paragraph appears on two pages. It’s that important.)
